Transfers to and from Sivas Nuri Demirag Airport
Sivas Nuri Demirag Airport opened in 1957, to civil air traffic, although it was made for the use of NATO military purposes. A new terminal building was added in 1990 to serve civilian flights.
With the decision of the Council of Ministers in 2002, the airport was closed to air traffic and re-opened a year later. In 2010 the airport was extended due to capacity issues, with a new terminal which gives its present modern look.
